41 active-duty soldiers with infectious diseases hospitalized in Akmola region

ASTANA. KAZINFORM 41 active-duty soldiers with infectious diseases were admitted to the hospital in Akmola region. One of them was taken to the intensive care unit. 45 infectious disease cases were recorded so far, Kazinform reports.
Some of them were diagnosed with meningococcal disease and some with enterovirus. All those who had been in contact with an infected person were examined, and those who developed disease symptoms were isolated. No severe cases were reported, Kazakh Healthcare Minister Azhar Giniyat said.
As earlier reported, on August 23 an active-duty soldier of the military unit 5510 located in the territory of Kokshetau city sought medical assistance for acute respiratory viral infection symptoms.
