40 more Kazakhstanis win DAAD scholarship to study in Germany

ALMATY. June 9. KAZINFORM. /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ A certificate-giving ceremony has taken place in the Kazakh-German University in Almaty today. 40 Kazakh students, PhD candidates and scientists have obtained certificates of DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) for education in German universities.
In whole 120 Kazakhstanis got DAAD scholarships for Master and PhD in 2009. The DAAD is financed by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and European Commission.
Director of DAAD IC in Almaty Eva Portius said that in comparison with the previous year the program of German academic exchange in Kazakhstan was not reduced.
Among the Kazakh scholarship holders is Doctor of Chemistry, General Director of ?Excellence PolyTech? International University, Professor Saule Aidarova.
