40 killed in northern India road accident

NEW DELHI. August 22. KAZINFORM At least 40 pilgrims were killed and around 20 injured when the tractor-trolley carrying them overturned and fell into a deep roadside ditch in a rural area in India's northern state of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, local police said; Kazinform cites China Daily.
The accident took place near Gauapar village, some 300 km from state capital Lucknow, when the group was on its way to a temple.
The injured have been admitted to a hospital.
