4.3-magnitude quake rattles S Kazakhstan

ASTANA. January 6. KAZINFORM An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred in South Kazakhstan region; the Center for Acquisition and Processing of the Special Seismic Information of the Institute of Geophysical Research (IGR) of the National Nuclear Center (NNC) of Kazakhstan informs of it.

"According to the Data Center of the Kazakh NNC Institute of Geophysical Research, an earthquake occurred in southern Kazakhstan on January 6, 2012, at 03.16 p.m. Astana time. The Magnitude Мb=4.3," the message reads.
