3rd session of Kazakh-Czech Intergovernmental Commission held in Prague

ANA. September 22. KAZINFORM The third session of the Kazakh-Czech Intergovernmental Commission on economic, industrial and scientific-technical cooperation has been held in Prague on September 21-22. Within its framework a business forum "The Day of Kazakhstan's Economy in the Czech Republic" was carried out; the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in the Czech Republic reports.

 The Kazakh delegation was headed by Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Duissenbai Turganov, the Czech one - by Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Milan Hovorka. At the session the sides summed up results of the decisions implementation taken at the second session, analyzed the status of economic cooperation between the two countries in the different spheres. Following the results of the session a Protocol, Memorandum of cooperation between the Kazakh Institute of Metrology and Czech Metrology Institute were signed.

 Over 130 representatives of the Czech companies took part in the forum.

 Czech Parliament Speaker M.Vlcek expressed interest of the Czech side in building up the trade economic cooperation with Kazakhstan. He noted that Kazakhstan joins a list of 12 priority countries, with which the Czech Republic wishes to develop strategic cooperation in the sphere of energy, transport, healthcare and etc.

 The Kazakh participants informed the Czech business circles of investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, acquainted with the activity of SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund JSC, prospects of tourism development and concessional projects in the transport sphere. The forum participants expressed confidence that this forum will give a stimulus to strengthening and diversification of bilateral trade-economic cooperation.
