3rd Int'l Congress of Turkic-speaking countries on architecture and town planning kicks off in Astana

ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The 3rd International Qurultay (Congress) of Turkic-speaking countries on architecture and town planning "Town-planning Forum of Kazakhstan-2010" has been opened today in Astana.
Delivering a speech at the opening, Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov welcomed the participants and emphasized that "one of the most important goals of the Forum is that within such discussions, exchange of experience and creative explorations we highlight community peculiar to the Turkic civil space".
"The joint search and partnership not only confirm our unity, but give a new creative rhythm to it. Only in this intellectual dialogue it receives valuable spiritual fulfillment", I.Tasmagambetov noted.
According to him, architects from 30 countries of the CIS, Europe and Asia take part in the Qurultay. Within the framework of the Forum there was organized an exhibition where over 100 projects of these countries' architects are represented.
