30 trucks and 50 cars stuck on Astana-Karaganda highway

According to a witness the road was washed away by flood waters three days before. The water had gone but for some reason police have closed the road and stopped traffic. Children and pregnant women were among the trapped. Moreover they had to spend the night in cars. The people have run out of fuel, food and water. Most hardy reached the nearest village on foot, and hitched a lift. The column of stuck vehicles was 3 kilometers long.
