3 new research centers to be created in Astana this year - President

ASTANA. January 29. KAZINFORM. /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Three new research centers will be created on the basis of the New University of Astana this year. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has said it in his annual address to the nation at the joint session of the Kazakhstan Parliament.

The first one is the Life Sciences Center that will work with the world's leading centers for development in the sphere of transplantation of organs, artificial heart, lungs, stem cells, longevity medicine.
The second one is the Center for Energy Studies that will deal with the issues of renewable energy, physics, chemistry and high-energy technology.
The third one will deal with bio-disciplinary matters.
In this context, the Head of the State urged the Government to develop an interdisciplinary plan of scientific and technological development of the country until 2020. Besides, N. Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of adopting a new law on science.
