27 school principals of Kyzylorda to be fired due to failures at Unified National Testing

This year, on the basis of the Unified National Testing the Kyzylorda region is on the 11th place. Among the areas the lowest level was shown in Kazalinskiy, Shieli and Zhanakorgan areas. Deputy Mayor Akmaral Alnazarova said in detail about the UNT. Schools that failed to show good results last year, have not been able to get good ones this year. Out of 7,755 graduates this year only 5,048 took part in UNT, or 66 percent. In the past year, the average score was 64.02, and this time it is 73.4. Out of 196 applicants for "Altyn Belgi" (gold medal) only 62 proved their knowledge to get one. Out of 79 applicants for the certificate with distinction, only 20 people were able to get the appropriate points. Only two graduates have achieved the highest score 121. They're from the area of Karmakshy and Kyzylorda city. During the UNT 270 young people have failed to reach the minimum level.

As the akim states, these indicators are the fates of hundreds of young people. Unfortunately, some educators do not want to understand. For this sector 40 percent of the regional budget is usually allocated, but the pay is inadequate. Methodical work is not functioning as expected. Percentage of teachers in the highest category 5 times lower than the average for the country. Each year, funds from the national budget allocated to an additional charge for the top category are returned. For example, in 2012, this sum amounted to KZT 128 million.

"Principals committing such shortcomings in their work should be responsible not only to the department of education, but also in front of themselves, and the people. As you sow, so shall you reap! Sit in one place and doing nothing - this is ignorance. What effective work we can expect from the director, who, instead of giving knowledge to students, dismisses one teacher, then takes another one, gives a light workload, the other one receives the bigger one! " said K.Kusherbaev.

The akim stated that 27 principals fell short of confidence, and they would leave the post, and the question of the deputy akim responsible for this area, would be considered separately.

Finally K.Kusherbaev demanded to increase staff capacity to provide high level education.
