25,000 children anonymously sought psychological support in Kazakhstan in 2024
25,000 children anonymously applied for psychological help in Kazakhstan in February 2025, Kazinform News Agency quotes Vice Minister of Enlightenment Edige Ospan as saying in the Central Communications Office.

“In December 2024, the educational institutions of Kazakhstan introduced a system of text messages from schoolchildren via QR codes, which enabled the teenagers to apply for support anonymously,” Edige Ospan said at a briefing.
In 2024, the “111” contact center received 17,000 calls from children.
According to the Vice Minister, 250,000 people including children and parents have already been provided with psychological support in all regions of Kazakhstan.
In order to improve parents’ legal and pedagogical literacy, Psychological Support Centers were opened at schools, with more than 45,000 trainings organized in them.
The powers of the Committee on Children’s Rights Protection were enlarged. The number of facilities subject to inspection has increased and the mechanism of random inspections without a notice has been introduced. As a result, the number of inspections on children’s rights protection has risen from 30 in 2023 to 246 in 2024.
