250 people evacuated from station in Atyrau after false bomb scare call

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - As a result of a false report of a bomb scare at the railway station of Atyrau 250 people were evacuated, the press service of the regional Internal Affairs Department reports.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night. The railway station employee received a call from anonymous caller who said that there was a bomb at the station. The alarm raised the personnel of the firefighting services, Emergency Department and medical emergencies. A cordon was organized and more than 250 people were evacuated. As a rule, in the course of search operations explosive device was not found. "The person reporting on the device was established. It was a 20-year-old resident of the city of Aktobe, who was serving a sentence in Atyrau women's prison", the IAD reported.
