21 killed, 61 injured in central China fireworks plant explosion
21 people were killed, and 61 others were injured after an explosion hit a fireworks plant in central China's Hunan Province on Monday, according to a local emergency management bureau, Xinhua reports.
The explosion occurred at around 4:43 p.m. at the plant in Liuyang, a county-level city under Changsha, capital city of Hunan.

After the accident, local emergency and fire rescue forces rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations, which are still underway.

Reports noted earlier, three people were killed, and 25 others were injured, including two in serious condition, after an explosion hit a fireworks plant in central China's Hunan Province on Monday, according to a local emergency management bureau.
As written before, at least 41 people died in two separate explosions in southern India, at a pharmaceutical plant and a firework factory last July.
