2025 Asian Games: Kazakhstan storms into short track speed skating semifinals

Alina Azhgaliyeva, Madina Zhanbussinova and Olga Tikhonova propelled to the women’s 1500 m short track semifinals at the now-running 2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee.
Azhgaliyeva and Zhanbussinova finished third in the heat, while Tikhonova crossed the finish line first.
Semifinals and finals are set to begin tomorrow, February 8.
Noteworthy, the men’s short track squad also progressed to the 1500m semifinals.
Earlier Kazakhstan revealed the lineup of the country's short track team to participate in the 9th Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025 in China.
