2025 Abu Dhabi Open quarterfinals: Rybakina defeats Jabeur in repeat of 2022 Wimbledon final

World no. 5 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan beat Ons Jabeur of Tunis in the Abu Dhabi Open quarterfinal match in a repeat of the 2022 Wimbledon final, when Rybakina defeated Jabeur, the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation reports.
Defending champion Rybakina upset former world no.2 Ons Jabeur 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (7-4) in the quarterfinal of the WTA 500 tennis event in the UAE.
The Kazakhstan is to take on Tokyo 2020 Olympic women's singles champion Belinda Bencic in the semifinal.
Earlier, Rybakina defeated American Katie Volynets 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the round of 16.
The prize fund of this year’s edition of the Abu Dhabi Open is 1,064,510 US dollars.
