2024 Olympic Games: Kazakhstani boxers who still vying for 2024 Olympics medals

Kazakhstan's men's boxing team lost three bouts at the Olympic Games 2024 in Paris (France), Kazinform News Agency reports citing Sports.kz.

Makhmud Sabyrkhan (57 kg), Aslanbek Shymbergenov and Kamshybek Kunkabayev (+92 kg), who were considered as medal contenders in their weight categories, were sensationally eliminated at the start of the 2024 Summer Olympics Games in Paris. 

Four boxers advanced to the quarterfinals. Those include Saken Bibossinov (51 kg), Mukhammedsabyr Bazarbay (63.5 kg), Nurbek Oralbay (80 kg) and Aibek Oralbay (92 kg). They will continue to fight for Olympic medals.

In women's competition Nazym Kyzaibay (50 kg) continues her performance at the Paris Olympics, while Karina Ibragimova (57 kg) and Valentina Khalzova (75 kg) have not competed yet.

The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is set to run from July 26 through August 11. The Games brought together 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees. Kazakhstan is represented by 80 athletes in 25 sports.
