2024 Olympic Games: first Kazakhstani athletes arrive in Paris
The first Kazakhstani athletes have successfully arrived in Paris, where the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games will commence shortly. Among them is the archery team, which is scheduled to get into action on July 25, Kazinform News Agency cites Olympic.kz.

The Olympic Village is situated in the northern suburbs of Paris, occupying an area of 52 hectares. The infrastructure is comprehensive, comprising 40 residential buildings, training facilities, a health center, a canteen, and other amenities conducive to a comfortable lifestyle. For leisure, athletes will have access to clubs.

One of the team leaders, Ilfat Abdullin, talked briefly about the accommodations for the Kazakh athletes during the Olympics.
“We have checked int our rooms in the village this morning. We have only been able to have breakfast. Our team were the first representatives of Kazakhstan to check in. The conditions are excellent, the atmosphere is Olympic-level, and everything is beautiful and cozy. However, I must reserve comment on the dining room. We have not yet had time to properly familiarize ourselves with the menu, but I believe it includes a variety of options to suit all tastes. In addition, there are food zones, coffee shops, and other amenities within the village,” he said.

He also commented on the quality of the accommodation.
"The room is equipped with all the necessary amenities, with the exception of an air conditioning unit. However, the overall conditions in the village are good. The volunteers interact and assist us effectively," he added.

The Olympic Village will accommodate approximately 14,500 individuals, of whom 9,000 will be athletes. 80 athletes, who will compete in 25 sports, will represent Kazakhstan at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris.
Recall that Kazakhstan has earned 92 Olympic Games quotas in 25 sports, including boxing, judo, artistic gymnastics, track-and-field, kayaking and canoeing, rifle shooting, Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling, archery, trap-shooting, tennis, road cycling, swimming, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, cycling track, trampoline gymnastics, badminton, rowing, rhythmic gymnastics, triathlon, table tennis, climbing and breaking.
