2024 Olympic Games Day 5: Results of Kazakh athletes

After Day 5 of the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Kazakhstan still has one gold and two bronze medals, Kazinform News Agency cites the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's table tennis star Kirill Gerassimenko failed in the Round of 16 match against Omar Assar of Egypt. The match ended with a score 4-2 in favor of the Egyptian athlete.

Kazakhstani Mariya Dmitriyenko participated in Trap Women's Qualification and failed to advance to the Olympics finals. The Kazakh competitor achieved a score of 120 and was ranked 10th.

Makhmud Sabyrkhan, who competes in men’s 57kg weight division, was defeated by two-time European champion from Spain Jose Quiles Brotons in the Round of 16, unable to reach the quarterfinal.

Kazakhstani boxer Valentina Khalzova (75kg) was stunned by Atheyna Bylon from Panama in the Round of 16 of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Kazakhstan's Islam Satpayev and Konstantin Malinovskiy competed in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's Qualification. Two shooters failed to qualify for the next stage. Islam was placed 18th, while Konstantin – 25th, scoring 588 and 586 points, respectively.

Ekaterina Shabalina competed in the Triathlon Women's Individual event. She failed to complete the distance. Shabalina was selected for the Olympic Games based on her ranking. 

Kazakhstani gymnast Milad Karimi was ranked 24th in Artistic Gymnastics Men's All-Around Final with the result of 76,065 points.
