2024 Olympic Games: Alexandra Le ranks 6th in 10m Air Rifle Women final

Kazakhstani shooter Alexandra Le secured sixth place in the 10m Air Rifle Women final at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The athlete advanced to the final stage of the competition in the 10m Air Rifle shooting event. The format of the finals provided for the elimination of contestants with the worst intermediate result through an alternate process, with elimination occurring after the 12th shot. Alexandra dropped out third, ultimately securing sixth place. The Kazakh competitor achieved a score of 165.4.

Alexandra Le is a native of Almaty. She was born on May 3, 2004. She obtained her 2024 Paris Games berth at the Asian Rifle/Pistol Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2024. Alexandra Le is a graduate of the Republican Sports College. 

Kazakh athletes will compete in nine sports on the third day of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Time of their performances is indicated in the schedule for July 29.

The winners of medals in 10 sports, including judo, artistic gymnastics, swimming, fencing, rowing slalom, shooting, equestrian, archery, mountain biking, and skateboarding, will also be announced.

It bears to remind that Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team competition. 

Recall that 31-year-old Yeldos Smetov claimed Kazakhstan’s first gold medal at the ongoing 2024 Paris Games. Smetov, who competed in men's 60kg, defeated French Luka Mkheidze, bronze medalist of 2020 Tokyo Games, on points.
