2024 Olympic Games: Adilbek Mussin 5th in Men's 100m Butterfly – Heats

Today, August 2, Kazakhstani swimmer Adilbek Mussin participated in the Men's 100m Butterfly – Heats at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympic Games, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Mussin clocked the 100-meter heat in 52,74 seconds, securing 5th place.

In accordance with the established format of the competition, the top 16 competitors from the initial qualifying round will proceed to the semifinals. The Kazakh swimmer was placed 29th overall, losing his chance to advance to the Men's 100m Butterfly semifinals.

Recall that on July 30, Adilbek Mussin dropped out in the Men's 100m Freestyle - Heats semifinals, where he clocked the 100-meter race in 49.92 seconds. Following the qualifications, he secured the 41th position.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstani judoka Kamila Berlikash lost her first bout in the women’s +78kg weight class in the Champ de Mars Arena in Paris. Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan of Mongolia defeated Kamila Berlikash in the clash.

The 2024 Olympic Games is scheduled to take place from July 26 through August 11. The competition brought together 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees. Kazakhstan will be represented by 80 athletes in 25 sports.
