2024 Olympic Games: 12 sets of medals in 8 sports to be awarded July 30

The medal winners in eight sports, including judo, artistic gymnastics, swimming, fencing, shooting, triathlon, table tennis, and rugby sevens, will be announced on July 30 at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Two Kazakh judokas, Abylaikhan Zhubanazar and Esmigul Kuyulova, will represent the country in the competition.
The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is set to run from July 26 through August 11. The Games brought together 10,500 athletes from 206 national Olympic committees. Kazakhstan is represented by 80 athletes in 25 sports.
To date, Kazakhstan has secured three medals.
It bears to remind that Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev won bronze in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team competition.
31-year-old Yeldos Smetov claimed Kazakhstan’s first gold medal in judo at the ongoing 2024 Paris Games. Smetov, who competed in men's 60kg, defeated French Luka Mkheidze, bronze medalist of 2020 Tokyo Games, on points. This is Yeldos Smetov's first Olympic gold. He won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Judoka Gusman Kyrgyzbayev claimed bronze medal of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on July 28. He defeated Strahinja Bunčić from Serbia in men’s 66kg.
