ASTANA-SAO PAOLO. KAZINFORM - Day 9 of the FIFA's World Cup in Brazil brought football fans another sensation. The obvious outsiders of the group D - Costa Rica sensationally beat Italy 1:0 and qualified for the last 16 with six points in their pocket.
It was Costa Rica's captain Bryan Ruiz who scored the goal in the first half of the match. In the second half Costa Rica counter-attacked, but Cesare Prandelli's team were unable to impress and score an equalizer. Funny, Ruiz's goal determined the fate of the England's side who are packing their bags and going home after only two games at this year's World Cup. Italy and Uruguay with three points after two matches each will fight for the remaining place.
