2010 budget of Kashagan deposit development may be cut by USD 3 bln - K.Kabyldin

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ The budget of development of the Kashagan deposit at the Kazakh Caspian shelf for 2010 can be cut by USD 3 bln.
Chairman of the Board of National Company KazMunayGas JSC Kairgeldy Kabyldin has announced it at the enlarged session of the Collegium of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan on Friday, January 15.
According to K.Kabyldin, this issue is under consideration by the corresponding body.
"The budget of the Kashagan project for this year makes up about USD 10 bln, at present we make proposal on its reduction by USD 3 bln through optimization of expenditures ", he noted.
