1st mixed heart and lung transplantation will be held in Kazakhstan in 2014

"An isolated lung transplantation is rare. We're ready for an integrated transplantation when transplanted are lungs and heart. This operation is considered top class",- said the deputy minister.

According to him, through the World Health Organization the Ministry of Health receives all necessary information on the development of donations worldwide. Kazakhstan is studying the experience of Islamic States, European and Asian countries.

"From all this we take the best option, which to date suits us. Now we are making two amendments to the Code called "The health of people" to encourage donation. After their adoption I think a lot of the legal aspects of the issue will be resolved", said Deputy Minister.

In general, according to Eric Bayzhunusov, if last year in Kazakhstan there were held about 20-30 organ transplants, but this year the nimber has risen to 102.
