1st Forum of Turkic Diaspora reps for its unification - WAK
As stated by her, the founders of the Forum were Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. As one of the organizers, the WAK ensured the participation of 65 representatives of the Kazakh Diaspora in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Mongolia, Turkey, Iran, China, Belgium, Germany, Holland, France, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, the UK, the USA, Ukraine, and Belarus.
"Before the opening of the meeting, we laid flowers at the monument to a national leader, the President of Azerbaijan in 1993-2003 years, Heydar Aliyev, whose name is associated with formation and development of Azerbaijani statehood. Then we followed our way to the Eternal Flame, where we also laid flowers and paid tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The event itself took place at the Palace named "Gulistan", " said K.Baltabaeva.
To the address of the Forum have been sent welcome letters by Presidents - Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan's Nursultan Nazarbayev, Turkey's Abdullah Gul. The event heard the speech of the first deputy chairman of the WAKTalgat Mamashev, Minister for Youth Affairs, Labour and Development in Kyrgyzstan Aliyasbek Alymkulov, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States Akynzha Khalil, Secretary General of TURKSOY Kaseinov, president of the Turkic Academy in Astana Shakir Ibraev, as well as representatives of the Turkic Diaspora from different countries, including the chairman of the Federation of Kazakh companies in Europe, Political Science Abdulkayum Kessizhi from Munich. Everybody listened to the report of the Credentials Committee of the Forum.
As you know, on May 14 this year in the Turkish capital Ankara there was adopted a strategy of joint action for Turkic diaspora. Its conceptual ideas identified the keynote of the participants' speaking at the event.
"The forum was fruitful. The appeal has been unanimously adopted by the participants to the heads of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, as well as the Baku Declaration and the decision to convene regular forums once every two years ", said the representative of the WAK.
Also approved are the main directions for consolidation and development of joint actions of Turkic diaspora. In particular, support for consolidation of the diaspora of Turkic states and establishment of its regional centers, promotion of the history, culture and current status of the Turkic world in the global community, support diaspora in modern living, nomination of prominent members of the diaspora to the elected bodies and the civil service, conducting general business forums of diaspora living abroad, participation of NGOs in realizing international projects of the Turkic countries in the field of economics and politics. One of the important objectives is attracting young people receiving education abroad for Diaspora affairs and lobbying for its interests, and to seek solutions to the problems of young people in education.
She emphasized, the proceedings of the Forum have been published in perfect printing style by the host country in Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz and Turkish languages.
"The Forum called on all the Turkic-speaking States to support carrying out the Baku Declaration in the context of globalization and convergence of nations. The event concluded with a ceremonial reception and concert artists, including the ones from Kazakhstan ", concluded K.Baltabaeva.
