1800 families waiting for child to adopt in Kazakhstan – M. Sarybekov

ASTANA. September 7. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ There are 1800 families waiting for a child to adopt in Kazakhstan. Vice Minister of Education and Science Makhmetkali Sarybekov said it at the meeting of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development of the Parliament on September 7 in Astana.
'Now we submit the issue for the consideration of the Republican Budgetary Commission regarding allocating funds from the state budget for paying additional wages to the families adopting orphans. According to our estimates the subsidy will make to 30 minimal calculation indexes. If we successfully accomplish this task we will help many orphans', Mr. Sarybekov noted.
According to the Vice Minister, around 6.5 thousand families applied for this subsidy to the state bodies. On the whole there are around 25 thousand families in need of it in Kazakhstan.
