ASTANA. April 23. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ 17 kindergartens will be built in Astana this year under Balapan state program. Mayor of the city Imangali Tasmagametov has said it while visiting the construction site of a new 240-seat kindergarten today.
According to the Mayor, 50 kindergartens were put into exploitation in Astana last year which let provide 14, 000 children with pre-school education. 14, 000 more children are on waiting list now. In whole, the municipal administration plans to cover the demand in kindergartens within the nearest three years.
Besides, as I. Tasmagambetov noted, local authorities are not against of building private kindergartens. "On the contrary, the akimat welcomes such initiatives", he stressed.
