150 evacuated from apartment building after fire in lift shaft

ASTANA. February 7. KAZINFORM A lift shaft in a 16-storey apartment building caught fire at 2:31 a.m. on Thursday in Almaty, the Ministry of Emergencies reported.
150 people, including 15 children were evacuated. The fire was put out in 45 minutes. No casualties were reported.
Another fiery incident occurred in Taraz. A 75-year-old woman got carbon monoxide poisoning and was hospitalized after a fire in a private house.
