130 km of roads to be built and reconstructed in Astana this year - Astana Mayor

ASTANA. February 4. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ 130 km of roads are to be constructed and reconstructed in Astana this year. Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov has announced it at the reporting meeting with the residents on Thursday, February 4.
"130 km of roads are to be constructed and reconstructed in Astana this year", the Mayor noted. He said that last year there were constructed and repaired 147 km of roads.
According to him, today Astana counts about 250,000 cars taking into account non-resident vehicles, which ride through the streets built on standard project of the Soviet time.
"To solve this problem we started to develop the traffic stream system two years ago. Its goal is to provide a smooth traffic in the city", he resumed.
