13 electric power projects to be realized within the New Industrialization Program

ASTANA. July 2. KAZINFORM Energy gap is one of the main deterrents of the economic development in Kazakhstan.

Within the New Industrialization State Program, initiated by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, the launch of a wide range of projects to solve this problem is foreseen.

The President instructed the Kazakh Government to develop energy sector. The government took actions having impact on the situation in the energy branch of economy.

According to the new Industrialization State Program, 13 electric power projects will be implemented, nine of which are directed to construction of power generating companies with a total capacity of over 3,200 MW.

"In a time of rapid growth our economy found itself in the limited infrastructure. So, now we have the opportunity to take a moment to prepare everything necessary for the future economic growth," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
