116 sports facilities opened in N Kazakhstan regions in 2014

There are 2 393 sports facilities in the province and 1 914 are located in rural areas. 15 mini football pitches and 81 hockey rinks were constructed in the region on the initiative of governor Yerik Sultanov. A sports health complex and a huge swimming pool were commissioned last year in North Kazakhstan region as well. Three sports complexes are being constructed in Beskol, Novonikolskoye and Zharken villages. Construction of a new sports complex with its own ice arena is also underway in the city of Petropavlovsk.
