10 militants killed, school destroyed in NW Pakistan

Two soldiers and four militants also sustained injuries in the gun battle and two compounds of militants were destroyed.
Meanwhile Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) of Orakzai agency who were displaced due to military operation started returning home under the protection of the troops.

More than 300 militants have been killed in the area since the operation started in late March in Orakzai, which has seen a growing number of Taliban and al-Qaeda militants who fled South Waziristan tribal area due to the military operation.
Besides, unknown miscreants blew up a government-run girls' school in Bajuar tribal region and a CD shop in lower Dir on Friday, northwest of Pakistan, local TV channels reported.
An explosion occurred in the school in Sadeeqabad area of Bajuar, leveled the building of the school to ground. No casualty was reported.
In another incident, militants blew up a CD shop in district Lower Dir of Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Local sources said that explosive material were placed near the shop in Kotigram area and destroyed it completely, Kazinform cites Xinhua. See www.xinhuanet.com for full version.
