"This year we plan to grow and release 3, 6 million fingerlings produced in spring from fish roe found in the Ural River", said Rashiden Kalidullin. Restoration of stocks of sturgeon kinds of fishes by means of artificial reproduction and stocking of farmed whitebaits are engaged in Atyrau and Ural-Atyrau sturgeon fish farms. In recent decades, in connection with the activation of economic activity, the Ural-Caspian region is experiencing an increasing trend of anthropogenic influence. The Ural River is the only river basin, where been preserved naturally occurring spawning fund of sturgeon fishes. However, according to scientific research, natural spawning areas have been reduced from year to year. This raises the need for artificial breeding of young sturgeon fish species, with subsequent release in the natural environment. For these purposes, a budgetary program for the conservation and reproduction of fishery resources and aquatic animals has been carried out. In the framework of the program in the current year, it is planned to issue 7 million pieces of young fish sturgeon species.
