1,116 women fall per 1,000 men in Karaganda rgn

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM Women make up about 53% of the Karaganda region population. It numbers 722,000 women, the regional statistics department said. There are 1,116 women per 1,000 men.
Women's average life expectancy is 73,1 years, men's is 62,6. 53,6% of the total women's population of the region live in the towns. More than half of the students at the region's higher educational establishments are the girls.
