Zhibek Kulymbetova of Kazakhstan becomes 10-time world champion in grappling and jiu-jitsu

17-year-old Zhibek Kulymbetova claimed two gold medals at the 2024 Grappling World Championships in Astana to become ten-time champion of the world, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
Kazakhstan’s Zhibek claimed five wins over rivals from Ukraine, Spain, Russia and Kazakhstan, aged 18-20, on day one and four more early wins by submission on day two in GI and NO GI categories.
The Kazakhstani joined the Samat Ramazanov Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling Academy as a legionary this year.
Zhibek is now a ten-time world champion in grappling and jiu-jitsu.
The Kazakhstani is a bronze medalist of the World Sambo Cup, winner of the AIGA Asian Championship, as well as winner and medalist of a multiple of international and national competitions.
