“Zher-2009” exercises held in Almaty region

KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The exercises aimed at development of coordinated actions of all bodies, order of their organizational work including the work of heads of emergency rescue service. Acting Director of the Civil Defense Department Meiram Iskakov has told about it today in Almaty during exercises "Zher-2009"; Kazinform reports.
He said that command-staff exercises are held under the instruction of the Prime Minister. Central and local authority, departments of the Kazakh Ministry of Emergency Situations take part in the exercises.
According to Head of the Emergency Situation Department of Almaly district, Almaty city Talgat Mukayev troops of extra response are deployed on the territory of "AZTM" plant. Actions of administrative personnel of the district service are developed. They are 15 people of the fire department of Almaly district, team of advanced readiness covering 50 people of "AZTM" plant, 16 representatives of guard service of social order and six medical workers.
200 people and over 10 units of equipment were involved into the exercises in total.
