Zhas Kanat contest of young performers to kick off in Astana

The organizers of the event are the Akimat of Astana, Khabar News agency and Voice of Asia international festival.

On the eve the participants met with their colleagues - students and tutors of the Kazakh National University of Arts.

First Vice Rector of the University, composer Serik Erkimbayev said: "Our University has a good base for teaching future singers and performers. Many laureates of Zhas Kanat enter our institution. We also take initiative and invite the talented youth to obtain music education. I wish success and fruitful work to all participants of Zhas Kanat"
