Zhanseri Kosherbayev propels to final of IBA Youth World Championships 2024 in Budva

Kazakh boxer Zhanseri Kosherbayev cruised into the semifinals of the IBA Youth World Championships 2024 in Budva, Montenegro, Kazinform News Agency cites Sports.kz

Zhanseri Kosherbayev defeated Ysmayyl Gurbanverdiyev of Turkmenistan in the 57kg quarterfinal bout of the IBA Youth World Championships. The Kazakh athlete won the bout via unanimous decision with a score of 5:0.

Thus, Kosherbayev advanced to semifinals of the IBA Youth World Championships 2024, where he will be vying for a place on the podium.

Kazakhstan’s Beksultan Boranbek (51 kg), Aslan Yeldibayuly (92+ kg), Elyanur Turganova (50 kg), Bagzhan Otynbay (52 kg), Uldana Taubay (66 kg), and Shugyla Nalibay (75 kg) and Panar Seitkankyzy (81+ kg) advanced to the medal round and secured at least a bronze medal at the IBA Youth Men's and Women's World Boxing Championships 2024 Budva.
