Zhambyl region starts building section of ?Turkmenistan?Uzbekistan?Kazakhstan?China? gas pipeline

TARAZ. February 13. KAZINFORM. /Galina Skripnik/ Construction of the 476-kilometer section of the cross-country gas pipeline ?Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan – China? began in Zhambyl region; Kazinform refers to the press service of the region?s akim (governor).
The first stage of the construction started on February 10. Investments on this section will amount to USD 2 billion.
The pipeline will cross three Kazakhstan?s regions ? South Kazakhstan, Zhambyl and Almaty.
Building of the Zhambyl line is planned to be finished till the end of 2009.
