Zhambyl pupils rescued kids from burning apartment
TARAZ. June 19. KAZINFORM - Two high school students from Zhambyl region rescued kids from a burning apartment, as Emergency Department of the region press service reports.
"On June 16 in the apartment building of Baizak area a fire broke in the household, carbon monoxide led to poisoning and children of 5 and 3 were admitted to hospital. The cause of the fire was a childish prank. Fire was extinguished by two branches of the Fire fighting unit 8 within forty minutes", states the Department's message.
According to Saule Munataeva, a chief specialist of the press service of the Emergency Department, Zhanibek Moldataev, a resident of Baizak area saw the smoke and heard the children crying. "Zhanibek is a retired firefighter, says S.Munataeva. He quickly oriented himself, phoned firefighters and sent two youngmen - 16 years old Bekzat Alimzhan and 17 years old Baizakov Moldataev to help the children. The apartment door was locked from the inside, thus the brave young men without waiting for firefighters' arrival, risking their lives, rushed to the window, broke the glass and started looking for children. After that they have passed them through the window to Zhanibek".
Ambulance having arrived at the scene provided first aid to the "rescuers". The children were taken to the intensive care unit of a hospital . At the moment, the children are transferred to the ward, they are feeling well.
"Our heroes are the students of Sarykemer gymnasium school under the name of N.Kiikbaev behaved modestly, believing that rescue of the people is the duty of every citizen of Kazakhstan", says S.Munataeva.
