Zagreb marks the Day of Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The capital of Croatia - Zagreb has marked the Day of Kazakhstan's capital, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reports.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Croatia and Zagreb Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy named after Dag Hammarskjold. Opening the presentation, Dean of the Graduate School of Diplomacy, academician Ivo Shlaus noted the successful development of Kazakhstan's independence, as well as the important role of our country in the modern world. He also emphasized the great contribution of Kazakhstan to the global process of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Croatia Aslan Musin gave a lecture on Kazakhstan to the faculty and students of the Graduate School of Diplomacy. Participants were informed about the main stages of history and modern development of Kazakhstan, political and socio-economic achievements of our state and its role in the international arena. In the framework of the upcoming Expo 2017, the Croatian city of Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County held a presentation of investment and economic opportunities in Kazakhstan, as well as recent changes in the legislation aimed at the improvement of the investment climate. The parties discussed the establishment of two-city relations between Almaty and Dubrovnik.
