'Youth' Kazakh-Russian journal presented in Moscow

MOSCOW. October 23. KAZINFORM - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia has presented a joint Kazakh-Russian journal titled "Youth" (Molodost).

The event was attended by representatives of Russian publishers, literary circles, young poets and writers of Kazakhstan and Russia. The issue is devoted to the spiritual relationship between the peoples, cultural exchange and retrieval of human values ​​through the prism of bilateral cooperation. The edition presents the works of young Kazakh and Russian writers, poets and playwrights.

In his opening speech the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia Galim Orazbakov noted that joint issue of this journal is undoubtedly a highlight in the cultural life of Kazakhstan and Russia.

"I think this is yet another contribution to the friendship between Kazakhstan and Russia, our people and creative people. This shows the level of relations between the two countries, the interest of intellectuals of our countries in the mutual knowledge and enrichment of interesting works", said the head of the diplomatic mission.

"This is our small contribution to the education of the younger generation, it's promoting the culture, our poets and writers", said G.Orazbakov. "I hope that the joutnal will be a success among the Russian and Kazakh public".

At the end of his speech the Ambassador thanked the journal named "Youth" and the Kazakh journal named "Space " (Prostor) as well as the leadership of the Moscow branch of the People's Bank for assistance in quality, substantive content of the published issue.

According to the chief editor of "Youth" journal Valeria Dudareva this issue is the first in the publication's history since 1955, which was released in the volume of 328 pages. Its main part consists of the works of young Kazakhstan writers.

"I would like to note that in Kazakhstan there has remained a professional literary environment", said V.Dudareva.

The current circulation is 6,500 copies. The idea has been initiated by the Embassy of Kazakhstan.
