Youth in Kazakhstan received KZT21.3bln microloans
At the Government's weekly briefing today, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Svetlana Zhakupova informed the Cabinet members of involvement of the country's youth in micro-financing, Kazinform News Agency reports.
According to her, 7,116 applications for microloans have been submitted for now. 4,734 microloans to the amount of 21.3 billion tenge have already been provided.
18 business projects of young entrepreneurs are under consideration of regional commissions now. 637 applications have been submitted for the consideration of branches of Agrocredit Corporation.
Another measure of support of youth employment is provision of state grants, the Minister said.
In her words, 5,316 citizens from socially vulnerable groups have already received the grants.
Most of the recipients – 2,899 people - are from large families. 1,038 recipients are disabled persons, 631 recipients are caretakers for children with disabilities, 365 are the recipients of targeted social assistance.
2,062 people received grants for the purchase of technological equipment, 1,568 – for the purchase of cattle and small ruminants, and 957 – for the purchase of instruments or tools.
