ASTANA. June 29. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakhstan and Iran are planning to increase the level of trade turnover to US 5 billion. Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi made it public upon the completion of the meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Yerzhan Kazykhanov within the 38th session of the OIC Foreign Ministers Council.
The Iranian Minister expressed his gratitude to Kazakhstan for warm reception and noted great achievements of our country over the last 20 years.
'We touched upon the issues of bilateral cooperation at the meeting. In particular, we considered the issues of transit in global scale,' Ali-Akbar Salehi noted.
'Taking into account the potential of our countries, we will try to increase the trade turnover between our countries to US 5 billion,' he added.
