Y. Kazykhanov received F. Siniora
ASTANA. June 8. KAZINFORM Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov received former Prime Minister of Lebanon Fouad Siniora who arrived in Kazakhstan for participation in the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum in Astana, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan informs.
The interlocutors noted the importance of holding this event in Astana. The Forum is even more symbolic taking into account the 20th anniversary of the independence of Kazakhstan this year and the fact that we are virtually on the threshold of the presidency of Kazakhstan in the OIC.
The parties also shared views on relevant issues of international and regional agenda. Touching upon the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, the Foreign Minister emphasized that Kazakhstan within its presidency in the OIC would exert every effort to render all possible assistance to Arab counties on the way to stabilization and strengthening of international and regional security.
