WWII veterans lay time capsule with a message for future generations (PHOTO)
TARAZ. KAZINFORM - A ceremony of laying a time capsule with a message from the World War II veterans to the people in 2045 has been held in a park named after B.Momyshuly in Taraz, according to Zhambyl region administration.
The time capsule was laid at the base of the monument to the national hero Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. The capsule should be opened and read in 2045, the year of the 100th anniversary of the Great Victory. The time capsule at the site of the memorial says that the memorial should serve as a reminder to the future generations about the tragic events that should never repeat. Uatai Alimhodzhayev - veteran of the Great Patriotic War - an honorary citizen of Zhambyl region, has laid the time capsule with a message for future generations. The event was attended by representatives of the executive bodies, the regional branch of Nur Otan party, veterans and non-governmental organizations, youth, members of the regional People's Assembly of Kazakhstan. To date, 253 participants of the Great Patriotic War, 2334 equated to them and 7,253 war workers live in Zhambyl region. NOTE: Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, also spelled Baurjan Momish-Uli (24 December 1910 - 10 June 1982) was a Kazakh-Soviet military officer and author, posthumously awarded with the titles Hero of the Soviet Union and People's Hero of Kazakhstan.
