Wreath-laying ceremony dated to V-Day held in Hungary
BUDAPEST. KAZINFORM - On May 8, 2015 in the framework of events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary Nurbakh Rustem took part in the solemn ceremony of laying the wreaths to the Monument to Soviet soldiers liberators, located in the centre of Budapest on the Freedom square.
On the same day the wreath-laying ceremony took place at the cemetery of Kerepesi, where is the ashes of soldiers who gave their lives in the battles for the liberation of Budapest. Kazinform refers to Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry. In addition, the delegation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan took part in the commemoration of Soviet soldiers in the city of Kaposvár in the South of Hungary. As it is known, in 1944-1945 during two major operations in Hungary more than 140 thousand Soviet soldiers and officers were killed, many of whom were drafted into the army from Kazakhstan.
