World's two-time champion in para-taekwondo Nyshan Omirali passed away

Kazakh-born two-time world champion in para-taekwondo, Nyshan Omirali, has passed away in Zhambyl region, Kazinform News Agency reports citing  the Chief of the Regional Sport Department, Yernar Ibraimov.

"With great sadness we learnt this news... Nyshan Omirali, who endured many difficulties in his life, has passed away. Two-time world champion in para-taekwondo (Moscow, 2014, London, 2017), silver medalist of the Asian Championship (Ho Chi Minh City, 2022), silver medalist of the Para-Asian Games (Hangzhou, 2023), two-time participant of the Paralympic Games... I express  my condolences to the family and relatives of Nyshan," Yernar Ibraimov posted on Facebook.

Nyshan Omirali participated in the Paris Paralympics as well.
