World leaders congratulate Nazarbayev on Independence Day
ASTANA. KAZINFORM World leaders, heads of foreign and Kazakhstani government agencies, public and business structures sent congratulatory letters to President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on the occasion of the Independence Day.
President of the Russian Federation highlighted friendly and good neighborly relations between the countries. In his address President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping stressed that Kazakhstan and China witness a new trend of development of bilateral relations. "China is ready to raise the Sin-Kazakh strategic partnership to a brand new level for the sake of the nations," the letter reads.
US President Barack Obama expressed gratitude to Nursultan Nazarbayev for the leading role Kazakhstan plays in strengthening peace and ensuring prosperity. In her congratulatory letter Chancellor of the Federative Republic of Germany Angela Merkel expressed confidence in further development of ties between Kazakhstan and Germany. Federal President Joachim Gauck underlined that Kazakhstan plays an important role in strengthening of relations between Europe and Central Asia, and expansion of regional cooperation. In his letter President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter wished Kazakhstanis wellbeing and development and voiced confidence that friendly relations between the two nations will develop further. In his turn, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko underlined that over the years of independence Kazakhstan has gained tremendous success in strengthening its nationhood, socioeconomic development, and attained recognition in the international arena. In his message of greetings, Uzbek Leader Islam Karimov stated confidence that the bilateral cooperation will expand further in the best interests of both nations and contribute to maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
