World Islamic league plans opening a religious center in Kazakhstan
ANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a number of meetings with the participants of the III Congress of the Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions. In particular he met with Secretary General of the World Islamic League Sheikh Abdallah Ben Abdel Muhsin at-Turki.
The World Islamic League plans to open a regional center in Kazakhstan, according to Sheikh at-Turki. He also informed that next year a congress of the Mufties will be held with support of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The head of the League expressed interest in development of bilateral cooperation. "Saudi Arabia, and particularly, the World Islamic League highly appreciate the contribution of Kazakhstan President to the development of bilateral relations," - he said at the meeting with Nazarbayev.
In reply the Head of the State assured Kazakhstan would keep working on reinforcement of the interreligious accord.
