World famous composer Steve Barakatt performs at Astana Opera

World-renowned composer and pianist Steve Barakatt gave a performance at the Astana Opera to celebrate the International Women's Day, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information.

Joining Barakatt on stage were 125 musicians, vocalists, and ballet performers. He made history as the first North American composer and pianist to present his works at the Grand Hall of the Astana Opera.

"The performance was a multifaceted artistic collaboration, involving the Symphony Orchestra, the Children's Choir, and the Ballet Company of the Astana Opera, conducted by Elmar Buribayev," the Kazakh Ministry of Culture and Information noted.

As part of his Néoréalité World Tour, the program featured a selection of Steve Barakatt's most iconic compositions, including "Néoréalité," "Flying," "Motherland," "Cedars of Lebanon," "Lullaby – The UNICEF Anthem," and excerpts from his highly praised symphony “Ad Vitam Aeternam.” Through his performance, Barakatt aims to create a deeply emotional and inspiring experience, paying tribute to the resilience, creativity, and contributions of women worldwide.
